Learn
I have learned a lot about myself, what I really appreciate. It’s also something I did not expect to learn during this course.
Something that really helped me with that was a personality test. It showed me what my strengths and weaknesses are. It actually confirmed what I already thought about myself. But it is good to read it again, it gives me an opportunity to reflect on myself in a better way. It helped me to improve my weaknesses and enhance my strengths.
Some of my strengths due to the personality test are; Very Creative – INFPs combine their intuitive nature with their open-mindedness to allow them to see things from unconventional perspectives. Being able to connect many far-flung dots into a single theme.
I also think my talent is being creative,at least I like to create things. That is one of the reasons why I started at the school for goldsmiths. I would love to mix some of that creativity in the business live. I think this is my strongest point, because it already started at a really young age. I have always loved arts and crafts, my best grates in high school where for drawing. Being creative and open minded is especially important as a business innovator since it provides the ability to see opportunities that others might not see.
'Try to push themselves to commit to a chosen cause or person, forgetting to take care of the needs of others in their lives, and especially themselves’ ’Passionate and energetic.’I can be to focused on something, and all the other stuff around me do not really care anymore than. When I got a plan, and a vision and I’m confident that I can do it, I will go for it. And do everything that is in my power to achieve it. It’s something that you need as a business innovator, in my opinion. For example, I don’t have much knowledge about computers. I just make use of the internet and word and all that. So when the course HTML started I was frightened, because I immediately thought I would not understand it. But to my own surprise I quite understood it, and people were even asking me for advice.
Something else that is important in my learning is to really see it as a process. I often felt the urge to just stick with my first idea, for example the choosing of the IWoB subject. I thought I had a great subject, but when I started to look a little bit more into it, it seems not such a good idea after all. Because there was not enough information available or the subject wasn’t as interesting as I thought it would be. There is always room for improvement, and especially the opinion of someone else is important. Because they could see something in a entire different way, and give you good comments.
I had that for example with the BMC of fundamentals of business, we all got the same lecture and all read the same website. But they remembered things I didn’t think of anymore. Or they found certain aspects of the business way more important than I did. In that way you can see a business from a whole other angel.
