>Title: "The Reading Comprehension Problem Of The Century"

Dennis: Well, you got me there, Dirk! Ouch! Whoo-boy, what a zinger!
And so eloquent. ;-)
As with the other discussions, instead of clarifying his beliefs regarding SR
and answering direct points put to him, Dirk evades and deflects. Eventually,
he copies some quote out of context and puts it in his "immortal fumbles" --
hoping perhaps that people will construe it as a clear and lucid reply, hoping
that this will serve as a substitute for a detailed and rational defense of his
scientific beliefs. But Dirk dosn't fool anyone intelligent of course. No one
can describe the causes involved in relativistic (or quantum mechanical)
phenomena in a clear (let alone materialistic) fashion.
When faced with
searching questions regarding causation, those who defend relativity can only
hope to change the subject and/or insult.
Indeed, Dirk couldn't even describe the causes after repeated dares for him to
do it.
Hence, Dirk's reply above.
Hence, Dirk's inability to put forth an informative and clear reply involving
the causes of gravitation and clock retardation even now.

Anyway, the "reading comprehension problem" is Dirk's. Oh, and unlike Dirk, I
can defend this claim clearly:
Dirk, in perhaps a slip of the keyboard, wrote the following materialistic
statement:
"Everyone understands that physical, material effects have physical, material
causes. No one believes that human invented abstractions can actually cause
phenomena."
Aparently Dirk did not realize that neither theories of relativity provides a
physical, material cause for clock retardation or gravitational phenomena.

Relative velocity, principle of constancy of c, curving space, etc. are, as
everyone knows, not material causes.
When I pointed out this out, Dirk was only able to respond in the manner
above:
And I repeat: Dirk won't even be able to put forth an informative and clear
reply involving the causes of gravitation and clock retardation even now. Even
after this. His only possible response will be to edit all this out and 1)
repeat something useless and irrelevant with no clarification or 2) insult.
(Watch: It will be like I'm psychic.)
