I wrote a little paragraph about myself
My name is Youri Hommen. I am 21 years old and I am studying International Business Innovation Studies at the Inholland University of Applied Sciences in Diemen. Before I joined this program I had studied at two programs at the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, namely International Business Management Studies and Accountancy. Before that I did Dutch high school at HAVO level.
My hobbies and interests consist of gaming, sports (namely football and basketball but I love a wide variety of sports), movies and hanging out with other people. I started gaming at a young age, I got a Nintendo 64 for my 5th birthday and loved it instantly as I started playing Super Mario 64 and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time. Gaming grew into a hobby after my 5th birthday and I still love it and would like to do something with it in the future. I have also been doing sports since I was a kid. My daily routine as a kid consisted of going to school, playing outside, coming in for dinner and playing outside again. I have a passion for football, I played it for about 8 years and I am a passionate supporter of the Amsterdamsche football club (AFC) Ajax. Next to football I also grew an affection for basketball, I love the fast pace the game is played on. I love both playing any sports and watching it on television. I also love watching movies, I have watched tons of movies in my life and still enjoy it every time. My favorite movies of all time are: Scarface, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and American gangster.
I joined the IBIS program because it offers a lot of freedom and a new way of teaching that suits me. I think and hope I can be successful through this form of education and love being with international students.
