NLU
The second term I will have the following NLU's
During the applying process I was sick at home and I couldn't apply for the NLU's, I was very concerned that I couldn't apply for any of the NLU's since I was told that the server was very busy and almost everything was already chosen. When I came to school the next day I found out that I couldn't get to the 84 hours. To my luck "Gamification" which was my first choice was still available.
I was interested in Gamification because, as i've told in my website, i'm a fanatic gamer since a very young age. How cool is it to combine one of your favourite hobbies with a lecture on school? Pretty damn cool!
I'm aware of the fact that the game we're gonna create is for non entertaining purposes and probably is not something which I'm gonna play ... but i think it is very cool to see how a game is made in small scale to get a better understanding of one of my hobbies.
I don't know that much about H.O.S.T, but what I did understand is that it's a mix between psychology and to get a better understanding of yourself, Reflection ...
To be honest i'm not very excited about this NLU as this NLU is probably gonna contain a lot of self reflecting which is something I'm not very good at. As I have already mentioned in my reflective journal, I would like to get better at it. This might be a opportunity for me to actually improve myself in writing reflective reports. This is definitely my main learning goal during this NLU and also one of my expectations.
I read the sheet of VLOG and it seems interesting. The teacher told it's a mix between speaking with confidence and visual harvesting. This looks like something were I can improve my english speaking skills which is always useful . I never look to VLOGS in my spare time but I surely will, cause this is gonna give me a better understanding of VLOGGING which makes me prepared for these classes. This will give me the opportunity how to bring a story well told to a big audience. I hope that this NLU will also include some video editing in which i'm very interested.
Overall i'm pretty excited about my NLU's, i think they are very cool, but I don't wanna have too many expectations since this can only have a negative instead of a positive impact.
