Home Is Where The Wind Blows

An immortal fumble by Henry Wilson (5-Dec-2009)

Who said there are no stupid questions?
This is a not a trick question.

Since gravitational force still acts undiminished on a body in free fall
(towards Earth), there seems no reason why a pendulum should not keep swinging
if dropped from a high tower....but would it retain the same period (assume
constant g)?

If swings in free fall, why should it not also swing when in orbit, which is
also supposed to represent free fall?
