This is a not a trick question. Since gravitational force still acts undiminished on a body in free fall (towards Earth), there seems no reason why a pendulum should not keep swinging if dropped from a high tower....but would it retain the same period (assume constant g)? If swings in free fall, why should it not also swing when in orbit, which is also supposed to represent free fall?
