H.Wilsons site has may things correct. I note, for ecample, that he uses a thought experiment which is essentially identical to one published in "The Einstein Hoax" in 1997 at http://members.isp.com/einsteinhoax@isp.com/einsteinhoax/site.htm. In absolute terms the velocity of light is different in different refernce frames and what is overloole is the fact that the Relativity concepts reveal tha matter uses the velocity of light to control its parameters. As a result, in order for the locally observed laws of nature to be maintained, matter must adjust its properties in terms of length and time to conceal the absolute change from a local observer. (To complete the triad, the Lorentz Transformation for force is unity. The rules of Dimensional Analysis allow the Lorentz Transformations for all other phyhsical observations to be determined.) It is not mysterious, it should be obvious to anyone who takes the trouble to think it through, |
