Other than the rod being light-years in length, the parameters are
values that occur in our daily experience.  So if someone posts an
intelligent physics response, I think I might be able to overcome my
10 years of being too dumb by relating the answer to my every day
experience.  But so far, no one has posted an intelligent physics
response.  Will you?
