great that working physicists are using this NG more frequently.

I genuinely believe that more can be achieved by communicating here than in
the academic laboratory atmosphere. We can say what we like without fear of
losing our reputation. We can put forward any hypothesis no matter how
stupid it might appear. 
We don't have to feel embarrassed if we make a fool of ourselves, we simply
change our names. That happens a lot here, I can assure you.
