June 2001 Djenghis made his appearance in our family for a period
of 3 weeks. After that, we went on a holiday, so it was a good
test for the combination: Djenghis and we. The holiday weeks he
should spent at his breeder. The first three weeks came up to
our expectations and he adapted very well. When I picked him up
after the holiday he went mad as soon as he spotted me; a good
sign. Djenghis made his definite appearance in our family
Rob Somers (his breeder) took him in October to the show in Cluny
France where he got an EX. In Cluny his teeth were checked for
the third time ( 3 times teeths complete established) so his denture
card was completed. The result of his X-ray turned out to be HD
B1.
In December 2001 we showed him in Den Bosch where he got another
EX.
February 2002 an Eye specialist from Oisterwijk checked his eyes,
part of the preparation for the MAG-test (Social Acceptable Behaviour-test)
in March. The result was good, no deviations at all. In March
Djenghis passed simply the MAG-test. He passed the exterior test
with 358 from the 360 points he could score! An important mile-stone
has been gained: Djenghis is a stud with breed selection according
to he rules of the official Dutch Leonberger Club (L.H.C.N.).

After 9 months under our care, he became the dog with the potention
he always had. He gained a lot of weight and his condition was
finally meeting his potention. We decided to show him in Uden.
At the outdoor Uden he got his best result. In a very strong competition
he gained: Best of Breed!
September we went to Rotterdam where he got an 3 EX in the Open
Class. 20 October 2002 Djenghis got an EX in Wijchen on the Club
Match from the official Dutch Leonberger Club, L.H.C.N.
Djenghis reached his potentials. A new task is waiting for him:
We want him to support us in raising Nkyma.
