Bangkok

Flying in from Australia we arrived at Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok’s airport. The hostel we wanted to go too was very tough to find but very nicely located. We spend 5 days in Bangkok and did all the touristic stuff everybody does there, Coming from Australia, everything was much cheaper.

Kanachaburi

Here was Hellfire pass, a railway constructed by groups of POW (prisoner of war). Many have died in the whole project to construct railways during World War II.

Lopburi

The city of Monkeys. Temples overrun by monkeys, trying to steal your food, sunglasses and everything else they can get their hands on but loads of beautiful temples and great food on the street market that took place every night.

Chang Mai

Up in the north, near the mountains. We did a mountain bike trip a long an old smugglers path. We also did a trekking trip to get to a mountain village, spend the night there and then walk back the next day.

Off to Laos, taking the slowboat down the river.
