Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) must rescue his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) from prison before Lincoln is set to be executed for the murder of the vice president's brother. Michael infiltrates the prison from the inside, committing a crime to devise a rescue plan from within the walls of the Fox River Prison. Intrigue and conspiracy theories abound and reach the highest levels of government as the brothers race against time to prove Lincoln's innocence.
