Configuring session encryption

To configure session encryption

1.

In the Web Remote Manager window, under Session Encryption Configuration, in the Encryption level list, select one of the following:

•None

•pcA encoding

•Symmetric

The Web Remote does not support connections to hosts that are running pcAnywhere 11.0.x or earlier when both the Web Remote and host computers are configured for symmetric encryption.

In the Algorithm list, select one of the following:

•RC4

•AES

This option is available only if you select the symmetric encryption level.

In the Key Level list, select the appropriate key level.

This option is available only if you select the symmetric encryption level.

4.

Check Deny connections from hosts requesting a lower encryption level to refuse a connection with a host that is running a previous version of pcAnywhere and using a lower level of encryption.

5.

Check Deny connections from hosts requesting a different algorithm to refuse a connection with a host that uses a different algorithm type.
