Levelling Guides

On this page I'll post how i managed to get to my lvl ups. Been playing about 2 months atm and got to 64 in that time:

lvl 1-20

When u start as a lvl 1 its really easy to gain lvls to 10 in a day. All u need is send a lot of time and effort in doing quests. Grinding is pointless since u don't gain as much experience on grinding as you do in doing quests since on a quest you will need to kill mobs anyways and get rewarded for it.

Mind that you do not buy any weapons or armor from vendors or from the Auction House since you are upgrading your weapons and armor while doing quests. Quest rewards are usually much better then the "crap" you can buy on AH. AH has lots of good stuff tho but they come for a price. You can probably guess that these items are very expensive.

Instances start at lvl 20's doing the Dead Mines in Westfall at first.

Quick hints on this dungeon:

Get a tank and a healer. Mage and hunter are a welcome class aswell. 5th slot is random.(Palladin would be a good choice tho since they r good tanks and can heal/res)

Gaining levels on instances is a bit slow since u'll be sharing xp with the other members on your group.

They are nice though for a change on questing when you get tired of that. Also sometimes quests are given for dungeons. Good drops are often sighted aswell (blues and sellable greens)

Every race has its own starting area offcourse but Human starting area is easiest since there are loads of quests there and most high lvls are to be found in Stormwind. (can be handy since some do lend a hand if you are in need)

When you have a group quest, try asking on general chat for a hand or use the LFM channel.

Lvl 20-30 should either do Redridge or Duskwood. On Kalimdor they should do Ashenvale quests. Shadowfang keep up in Silverpine woods near Southshore is a good instance to gather some nice items. (we had about 13 greens and a few blues in there)

Lvl 30-40 is perfect for Stranglethorn Vale. Many quests here and good to level up to 40's. Low drop rate on some quest items though e.g. Tusks. General channel is alway sfun to watch. STV is also the place for the Gurubashi Arena. Wouldnt try this arena bit unless ur a 50+ since lvl 70's and 60's pop up on this event aswell. Its a pvp arena and regardless of Alliance or Horde you will have to kill any of them on the arena floor. (Little hint on this: group up on a raid party and roll for the chest 1st)

Hillsbrad foothills, Alterac mountains and Arathi Highlands are good aswell for these levels.

Lvl 40-50 will get the chance to head for Tanaris. 1st zone you can make a descent amount of money since quests will reward you well. Zul Farak instance is located here and you can get a lot of xp in this instance though it takes some time to complete. Wouldn't try the instance on low 40's if you don't have 50's or even 60's in your group. Takes a lot of time to complete since its a big dungeon.

Hinterlands is also good at this stage and you will need to go here anyway to get the mallet you will need to summon the hydra in Zul Farak.

50-58 Lvls for Un-Goro Crater and the Plaguelands (east and west)

Carefull on the big elite dino's since they kill even a lvl 70 if they have a bad day. Lots of quests here aswell. From Un-Goro you can head to Sillithus tho this is a lvl 60 zone.

Western Plaguelands is a good zone for mid 50's. Good questing and nice rewards. Crappy zone though to my opinion since its an undead zone.

Eastern Plaguelands is a hard one. Also many quests here but mobs are really hard and expect to die...a lot. This zone also contains the instance named "Stratholme" which is very hard even for lvl 60's.

Lvl 58-70

Hard times since you are going to Outland. At 58 for a warrior most quests are a bit hard since you are a melee class. Try and find some help on your quests and you will be fine. Starting point will be Hellfire Peninsula. This zone contains 2 instances named Hellfire Ramparts (lvl 60+) and Hellfire Citadel (think its best at lvl 64+)

When you hit 61/62 its time to move to Zangarmarsh. This place is really annoying since its a swamp. loads of quests to do though and you can get your lvl to 63 easy here. Also home of a few instances named Slavepens, Underbog and a few more. Some of these contain lvl 70 elites so don't try these unless you're a lvl 70 with a 70 group.

After 63 you should go to Terokkar Forest. Most quests will be available for you there and its a better zone then Zangarmarsh. Good xp and nice rewards on these quests aswell. Also contains at least 2 instances which should be done at lvl 65+ I think (not sure since i didn't do these yet) You can also gather some quests from Shattrath. You will need to pick a side here. Aldor or Scryer. As a hunter you are able to do a lot of quests allready as a lvl 62. Melee class is a bit difficult at 62 in this zone though some quests are doable.

At lvl 65 it's time to hit Nagrand. Lot of quests here to gather. Some of these quests involve killing 30 mobs of several types. It's advisable to group up on these quests since solo killing will be very slow and boring. After the 1st 30 of eacht ype you will need to kill another 30 before you will be able to kill the 3 bosses and finally the big boss itself. Most of the quests here are lvl 65 to 68. On some quests you will need a big hand from several lvl 70's since one of the big bosses is like 20 feet tall and a lvl 68 elite. (did this boss on 2 sepperate groups helping eachother out) This zone also contains the PVP event named "Halaa". Purpse of this event is taking control of the village. Killing horde while in this event results in Halaa marks which can be exchanged at a vendor if Halaa is controlled by your faction.
