Some of  the reasons why I understand chess fully are as follows:

1. Nobody else recognizes that chess is incomplete because it needs 
additional pieces and a bigger board.

2. Nobody else realizes that the bishops are allowed to jump over other 
pieces.

3. Knowing the limitations of chess enabled me to formulate Improved 
Chess which includes unimproved chess as a subset.

4. Nobody else recognizes that the pawns don't move forward, but the 
board moves backward.
