In 1993 I wrote that "the new art will be concrete, incorporative and integrative."

Despite that, I have now, in 2002, created a series of artworks dealing with the identity of art and with the changing position of the human in landscape and media-landscape.

Each piece is unique with its own power-field; they express their own values. To create them I removed advertising images from large public billboards, cut these paper scraps and mounted them on heavy paper. The process of intervention was completed through painting.

Each piece measures about 75 x 110 cm. and is laminated. They are made up of industrial products and are themselves products.  Billboards are programmatically designed to promote selling and consuming. Developed for marketing, they use sophisticated, direct informative language, photographic images, which have been usually manipulated digitally.

The displayed mixture of visual information in my artworks, each having their own

specific nature, relates themes very artifically. However, there appears another level which can be reflected upon in the sense of art. That lies in the understanding of

interactions behind the surface.

Structurally, I took over some codes used in my paintings created in the 70's and 80's. My graphically reduced body-shape has also been integrated, the use of which refers to my project False Landscapes.

Each piece of the series shows the address of my webpage, retaining the original character of their components.
