1. Update Procedure for VWar 1.5.0

With the files included in this package you can update your Virtual War from the Version 1.4.0 to 1.5.0 .
The Installation will only work with the VWar Version 1.4.0 installed.
If you have an older version installed, you have to update first with older update packages!

Update Instructions

  1. Upload all changed & new files/directories (overwrite your existing files !)
    Check update.txt for details on changes and updates
  2. IMPORTANT: Move your _config.inc.php to includes/ (overwrite existing file)
  3. Set the following directories and files (by using the CHMOD commmand) to 777

    • vwarcard.dat
    • backup/
    • images/gameicons/
    • images/locations/
    • images/member/
    • images/screen/
    • images/smilies/
    • upload/
    • includes/_config.inc.php
    • includes/language/

  4. Run update.php in the update folder to update from 1.4.0 to 1.5.0
    (Example: http://www.yourdomain/update1.5.0/update.php)
  5. Delete the file 'smilies.php' in your main vwar folder
  6. Delete the file '_lib.php' in your main vwar folder
  7. Delete the file '_class_db.php' in your main vwar folder
  8. Delete the file '_class_template.php' in your main vwar folder
  9. Delete the file '_lib.php' in your vwar admin folder
  10. Delete the file 'adminmenue.php' in your vwar admin folder
  11. Delete the file 'convert.php' in your vwar admin folder (does not have to be present necessarily)
  12. Delete the file 'extra/events.php' in your vwar extra folder
  13. Set up the new colors & fonts settings in your admin control panel
  14. Delete update folder
