My First term

Here is a short video about my experience of the first IBIS Term. I am looking forward to further more explaining my feelings during the interview with my supervisor. I've ended the video with my NLU choices and what I excpect to learn from it.

Meta Skills

Define

This meta skill i’ve got to develop the most during the International World of Business assignments. Not by looking for a problem but by defining events and really using my newly learned Informational Skills to find out what exactly has happened and what type of impact that had. During my research phase of the final assessment I’ve really dove into the subject to try and define the event that happened.

Design

This meta skill for me has been activated the most during the Fundamentals of Business assessments. where I really had to find realistic solutions based on the analysis I had done. Trying to use my creativity while designing these business solutions based on a functioning business model gave me the confidence about my understanding of business and my capability to innovate.

Execute

This meta skill has been developed with throughout all the assignments within the term. after discovering one of my weaknesses which is actually starting the job I’ve really seen my executing skills improve. I now take faster action to get into the workflow and I make sure that I break the work down in separate pieces to make it oversee able. I did this with most of the assignments handed out this term but I’ve seen the most success with the Fundamentals of Business final assessment. Which in the beginning seemed a little bit overwhelming but with my obtained insights I've been able to break it down and execute according to the plan.

Learn

This has been developed all throughout the PSD classes. With WIMBP helping me discover more about how I work, Thinking and Reasoning helping me find out how I learn and Informational skills helping me process more and credible information faster I have become a more efficient learner. Because debating and interaction is how I learn the best I now always discuss the information obtained from certain research or books with my peers to make sure it sticks and makes the most sense.
