About me

Born 16-05-1993 raised in the west side of Amsterdam. My Elementary and primary educations have also been in this area. During my schooling i have always had multiple interests in wide spreading subjects. Up until the end of my elementary schooling these were generally sports and finer creative activities like drawing and crafting. these activities made sure i had the physical and mental fitness level to start my high school experience. due to changes in the society, after my elementary school i started digitalizing the lifestyle by participating in online team gaming activities and graphic design. this period of my life had a great impact on my creative brain functioning. Because i’ve been deep into the graphical designing i thought this would be a good field to develop in. I enrolled onto an interactive designing course on the university. unfortunately because of a clash between me and the teachers I've decided not to continue in the course. There wasn't any other course available at the moment that really caught my attention so i decided to start doing some work. from this point on i have tried ALOT of different jobs.. the job that kept me interested was Bartending. i started at a very prestigious hotel the “Intercontinental Amstel” a 5 star hotel that has been around for ages. after being here for a year i decided that i needed to be in a less formal environment. right after having these thoughts i got a job offered at a newly opened hotel that facilitated a very potent cocktail bar near central station. the “Art’otel” a 4 star hotel with a very urban concept. i really loved working hear but again after little more than a year i started to want a change in lifestyle again. i had been getting people intoxicated until deep in the nights for a while now. i decided to get in a more healthy and progressive environment. i walked inside the biggest sports and health facility of Amsterdam and told them that i am the one they need in their team. a week later i started there as a consultant. advising our members how to get the body they deserve. during this working period of my life I've discovered a lot of my strengths and found what i want to do and where i want to develop in. now here I am.

My route to IBIS

As explained in the ‘About Me’ section my creative interests started at a young age. Having some legitimate love for this process was one of the first steps to IBIS. Because of my passion of bringing people together and my dream goals, International Business had to be the field that I studied in. After spending 3 years in the working field to discover myself and experience a lifestyle I had to be exposed to I started looking into some studies. The only study that at that time sparked my attention was International Business and Languages. I’ve decided that that was the study I was going for. From discussing this with my peers I received a lot of positive feedback which made me more motivated to get it started. Running this next move (enrolling in IBL) past one of my colleagues at that time (also a student at InHolland) she exposed me to the IBIS course, linking it as a perfect match for me. I did not know anything about this but from how she was describing the course I’ve got a very real feeling of enthusiasm. After this I’ve spend some time researching the course and went to visit an open day. The progressive ways of thinking I’ve been encountered with while talking to students and lecturers really convinced me that this was the place for me to get a step closer to my international business dreams while even getting the chance to develop my creativity! Now that I am enrolled and see a clear difference in thinking of IBIS lecturers and students in comparison to the previous study I've visited gave me a really comfortable feeling of being in my place.
