The Negotiated Learning Units I have picked to follow for the second term are:
I have selected these Negotiated Learning Units to help develop myself further and experience new things. During my selection process something went wrong with my registration and I was left with these Negotiated Learning Units. This doesn't matter to me because it will still help me develop myself and I am able to choose other NLU's in the upcoming terms.
Well before I started this course I did not know what the 5 Meta skills were. I did not even know what was meant by it, over the first term I have learned a bit more about what meta skills are and how you implement them and how this reflects on yourself. The 5 meta skills are:
I developed my define meta skill in the terms in creating ideas for assessments: in my poster presentations I created some doors and bags that gave my posters more dynamic, and for my reflective journal I created a video where I draw and talk over it. I also had to filter the right information for the poster presentations and the Business model canvas and analysis, causing me to think critically about the business. You may find examples of this in the products section of this website, where I have uploaded my Business Analysis, Business Model Canvas and poster presentations.
I did a lot of designing this term! I haven't really done much creative things in the past couple of years. I used the design meta skill in terms of creating a video for a fellow student's reflection, I also used design to create my poster presentation for Internatioanl World of Business and blogs. I had never written a blog before therefore this was something new for me again. I had to think more about what I was going to write. When I was younger I always used to draw cars, people and when I lived in Greeece I had art at school, where I learned how to draw and design a bit.
I used the execute meta skill in some occassions this first term, for example by creating my Business Model Canvas, Business Analysis for Fundamentals of Business and my Poster presentation for International World of Business. For all these three activities I had to work very hard to meet the deadline, I also had to think out each stage of the creation in order to finish it.
IBIS taught me how to learn in a different way. This changed my current learning skills and taught me how to learn in a different matter. I learned how to be more practical in projects, which would result in a better result.
We did quite a lot of group assignments in class. Even though most of the time I wasn't the leading character I always took part in the discussions and trying to get myself involved. I think this also has to do a bit with my character that I don't like to boss around others I would like to work together with them and use everybody's idea to come to the best solution.
