It is hard at first to find your real true passion. It is sometimes just in front of your face. It is that simple. I have a never ending passion for traveling. I love travelling to tropical countries and I don’t mind colder temperatures. The reason why I rather visit tropical countries is because I like swimming in the ocean or visit a variety of pools. There is just something about going to new places, places out of my comfort zone, places with different cultures and different food. I really like to try new and different things. It is so interesting to me to see how people live in other countries. When thinking about what talent I have I automatically think about my swimming time. I started swimming when I was about three years old. I had my first official swim meet when I was six and then was when I won my first medal. I loved the feeling of winning but I disliked swim training. And even without training I kept on winning. Swimming is really the only thing I’m good at. I stopped swimming about two years ago due to a knee injury, but I do miss it sometimes. My business dream is to own a successful company. I want to create a product that can make children really happy. So I was thinking about doing something animated, because I myself like animated movies and all the merchandise that comes with them. Having reached my goal and overcoming every obstacle life throws at me is my definition of success. The definition of success is different for everyone or it changes every once in a while. Sometimes I feel like the definition of success is to own a lot of money and sometimes I feel like the definition is to be happy in life. My long term goal is be happy. I want to be happy every day. I want my family and friends to be happy and healthy, because that is what keeps me going, that is what makes me happy. People often say that money makes them happy and they want to own a lot of money, but having family and friends that really care about me makes me rich enough. My short term goal is to get high grades, my propedeuse and eventually my bachelor degree. This is in addition of my long term goal. With this innovation study I hope I will be able to be more innovative and design a unique product. Attending Inholland University is the first of many actions I will undertake in order to reach my goal. Focus and dedication also play an important role in getting the highest grades possible to succeed. To commit is to dedicate one self. I will commit to the promises I made to myself and my parents. The commitment I made is to make my parents and myself proud. All a parent ever wants for a child is to be happy and successful and in return this would make them happy and proud.

In week 1 I learned a lot about the value of my passion and future. I noticed that all my goals I want to reach in life depend on how myself and how bad I want them. For me it is important to do what I love and to love what I do. This means that whatever path I choose in the future it would always be the one that makes me happy. There was always one thing on my mind that I always wanted to ask my parents and that is if they are happy with their jobs and if it was really their passion. My dad told me that he never thought of it this way. He has always been happy even though it was hard and it still is, he never gave up on himself and always wanted to make his family happy. As a kid I was never unhappy so I think that my parents did a great job. This first lesson made me appreciate my parents more and what they sacrifice. I know that in life I will have many ups and downs but like Steve Jobs once said that it would all make sense once you see your plan come together. I will never give up on myself and always believe.
