Today, in class, there was a certain video that really had my attention. The video was a Ted talk video, which was given by Sir Ken Robinson. The important thing he said was about a woman (I can’t remember who it was anymore) who had a problem.

She was to busy and could not sit still. The mother of this woman went to the doctor with her daughter. The doctor put on music and left the room with the daughter’s mother. The daughter didn’t knew that, although they left the room, they were watching her threw a window. Then they saw her dancing and the doctor concluded: Miss, your daughter hasn’t got a disease, she loves to dance and you better do something with it. This caused the mother to send her daughter to the dance school. Bottom-line of this story is that nowadays, when a child is very active and busy in the class, everybody automatically presumes that there is something wrong with her/him. But although it is, they have a talent were they good at and it’s todays educational system that limits the development of that talent. Instead of sending the kid to a school where it can develop his/her talent, like I mentioned earlier, they assume that the kid has a disease and try to treat it. Coming back to the story, the women grew out to be a well-known ballet dancer and a musical performer/director.

It was not only the video that caught my attention though, it was a personality test as well (although it was a very long and boring one lol). After the test you immediately get the results of the test, and my personality was a campaigner. It was divided in the following categories:

So, after I found out what kind of (business) personality I have and how much it was divided into categories, I researched the meaning of it. A campaigner basically is someone who’s: ‘’brain works in a way which involves a lot of creativity and imagination. Basically, there is no limit. Campaigners are always curious about stuff, are full of energy but when desperate times call, they know how to relax (in each different kinds of ways). They are very friendly and therefore are excellent communicators. But, they have the difficulty to focus, they don’t like to stay focused on a particular thing but on the big picture. They are highly emotional and get stressed easily besides the fact knowing how to relax’’.

After collecting the campaigners in our class, we needed to present the meaning of it. And the funny thing was that everybody in my group (including me) couldn’t sit still hahaha. So the explanation of the test was true.

In the class I got a lot of useful information, but mainly the personality test was the biggest information source for me. I think that it matched me completely and thanks to the test, I now know my (business) strengths (on which I mainly can focused and specialize) and my (business) weaknesses (on which I can try to develop them).
