Jann

Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be.
The last of life, for which the first was made.

Families run wild
like free verse;
unborn children play
in the life of my dreams,
romancing my childhood.

Was that a sigh
touching me gently?
Generations come down,
crowding the courtyard.

Enter the garden-
Eternity lies here, waiting

Binnewalevest
My great-grandparents house in Dordrecht. My great-grandmother is the small fat lady in the middle. This small shop at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century was a small cafe and liqourstore at the Binnenwalevest in Dordrecht. My great grandfather was a shipshandler at well. The house next to it, with the stairs leading to the front door, also belonged to the family. From the house you can see the river
Mijn grandparents van Nieuwkoop with my father and his sister on the beach at Hoek van Holland in the late 1920's or early 1930's

My great-grandfather, that is to say, my father's father's father.He is the dark young man on the right
