Steve: That one is (was) the home computer of the CIO of the company I work for. My guess is that the PSU went south. He brought it in to see if he could get any data off the hard drive (the top 3.5" bay). Can you believe that the drive actually functioned?! I was able to get his data off it.
He got lucky - his son was able to put it out. They were getting ready to leave and if it had not been noticed, their house might've burned to the ground.
