 programming

I always wanted to make my own applications, so I started to learn C++, without success. I tried it again, and again, and again. A few years ago I met Richie on the web. He was working on a mod tool wich needed testing. Because I was a modder, he asked me to test the tool. Becouse there were some bugs in the program, Richie decided to give me the source code so he could debug it on my computer. The program was written in Visual Basic 6 wich looked fairly simple. I got intrested in the code and tried to understand it. Richie thought me Visual Basic 6 so I was able to code for the program too. With my
Visual Basic 6 knowledge I coded a few programs, but I'm still learning. Since the Half-Life 2 SDK is released I tried to learn C++ again, with all my Visual Bsic 6 experience it was pretty easy to undertand actually. Though I only know the basics now.

 game mods

I got intrested in modding since I played C&C Red Alert. I tried to mod that game but I was new to computers so I did not succeed. Then I played Tiberian Sun with some mods and got intrested again. I made my own mod to play over lan. The real serious modding came after the release of Red Alert 2. I made a mod that added a load of new units and buildings. After that I made a mod for the Red Alert 2 expension pack Yuri's Revenge, this mod improved the AI a lot. Next, C&C Generals, a terrible game messed up by EA... I was C&C fan until they killed Westood. Well anyway, I modded this game too. I made a mod that added the good old tech levels like we had in the previous C&C games. Thats all for now, I hope I am able to make a Half-Life 2 mod in the future.
