What we see today as monstrosities, or scientific curiosities, will tomorrow become the norm. Little by little, the boundaries of what is permissible and what is conceivable will expand. Is it really possible to imagine that once we know how to build, model, and sculpt living matter to our will, that we will forbid ourselves from doing so? But what I am speaking of is only today's potential; nobody knows what new possibilities tomorrow will bring.
