Take a train to Alkmaar. We wil run a shuttle bus between Alkmaar railway station and the meeting venue. Alternatively, you can take a taxi or bus from Alkmaar.

One-way ticket to Alkmaar: €7.10. There are ticket machines in the bagage claim area, and in the central hall behind the shops when you exit the restricted area of the airport. All ticket machines accept debit cards. Some ticket machines also take cash. The ticket counter in the central hall does NOT take credit cards. There are ATMs and banks all over the airport.
The railway station is one floor down from the central hall.

Take a train to Amsterdam that stops at station Amsterdam Sloterdijk (do NOT take trains to RAI or World Trade Center). Departs generally from platforms 1 or 2, at least four times an hour. At Amsterdam Sloterdijk, go down two floors to platform 3 and take the train to Alkmaar (run several times per hour).

One-way ticket: € 5.80. Direct trains to Alkmaar leave from platforms 7 and 8 several times per hour.

Exit Alkmaar station through the main hall.

Taxi: there's a taxi stand near the front of the railway station.

Bus: bus 151 (direction Den Helder/Sint Maartensvlotbrug). You find the busses by turning left after leaving the railway station. You have to buy a ticket from the bus driver. The trip takes about 15 min. Exit at bus stop 'Idenslaan,' from here it's a 300 m walk to the hotel.

Shuttle bus from Alkmaar railway station to the site of the meeting:
Starting about one and a half hour before registration on Sunday (Course) and on Tuesday (Workshop) a mini-van will pick up people in front of the railway station Alkmaar and bring you to the meeting site in Schoorl. The service will continue until about 30 min after registration is closed (see program). The minibus will be marked either by the name of the hotel (Golden Tulip hotel Jan van Scorel), or by the name of the Course/Workshop.
