Van af half mei tot 21 juni 2005 is de verkeersweg via de Simplonpas (Van Brig via Iselle naar Domodossola) wegens onderhoud werk-
zaamheden gesloten van 10.00 tot 15.00 uur. Om de automobilist te gemoed te komen heeft SBB besloten gedurende die periode van
5 weken extra autoverlad treinen te laten rijden tussen Brig en Iselle v.v. Echter SBB heeft geen autotreinen meer voor handen zodat
er een volledige autotrein compositie gehuurd wordt van de BLS inclusief tractie (SBB tractie kan niet samenwerken met de stuurleiding 
van de BLS autotrein materieel). Daar de BLS moeilijk tractie kan missen is een deal gemaakt tussen de SBB en BLS om gedurende de
periode van 5 weken een BLS Re 425 te ruilen tegen een SBB Re 460. Deze SBB Re 460 wordt in deze periode door BLS Cargo 
ingezet voor goederenvervoer. Het e.a. is in een persbericht bekend gemaakt.
Zo is toch na de invoering van de nieuwe dienstregeling tijdelijk een SBB Re 460 in de goederendienst te vinden. De foto toont de 
de Rola 43609 met BLS Re 465 009 en de SBB Re 460 106 in dubbeltractie bij doorkomst Blausee-Mitholz op 25 mei 2005.
      
From the second half of May untill June the 21st, 2005 the Simplon pass road (from Brig to via Iselle to Domodossola) has been closed from 
10:00 to 3:00 PM due to maintenance. To help the car traffic, SBB has decided to extend the time table in order to get additional car trains running 
between Brig and Iselle for 5 weeks. However, SBB has not enough stock them selves and needs to hire a complete car shuttle train from BLS, 
loco included (SBB machines are not compatible with the BLS car shuttle train remote control).
As BLS can hardly miss locomotives, a deal has been made between SBB and BLS to exchange a BLS Re 425 and an SBB Re 460 for a 
5 weeks period. This SBB Re 460 is being used in BLS freight traffic during this time. Some more details can be found in the press announcement. 
So, in the end, realy an Re 460 can be found in freight traffic (temporarily) after introduction of the new time table (by Dec 2004).
