The Sanghyang is a divine force that enters the bodies of entranced dancers. There are a number of
Sanghyang dances on Bali, but the most famous and very common are Sanghyang Dedari. The Sanghyang Dedari is
perfomed by a girl. The accompanying music is provided by a female and a male Kecak choir. Here on this painting
I am representing the story with the Kayonan symbolism. Kayonan means the symbol of a section which represents
the puppet master or Dalang, telling the story by projecting the shadows of the puppets which are made from bull skin.
Here also the blue female mask represents the magic of trance dance,or Sanghyang Dedari.
